I read in the newsletter that Americans can use DGP instead of UGL to avoid dealing with a K-1 come tax time. Any recommendations on alternatives to YCS for the Volatility less than 15% portfolio? YCS also generates a K-1.

(Full list of ProShares K-1 generating funds here: https://www.proshares.com/k-1_tax_information/)

    Thanks!

Yes DGP and UGL are both 2x Gold. You can always replace an ETF with another if the underlying is the same.

Thanks Frank. The question is about YCS, though. Is there any alternative to it that doesn’t generate a K-1? I just want to see if anyone has any suggestions.

What’s the problem with receiving a k-1? Just complicating your taxes? It doesn’t result in being taxed any more on the gains does it?
